I had me a pair of bell bottom jeans. I thought I looked pretty cool back then.
Tripping over them and falling made me look less cool....

Exactly! I can't believe how out of proportion they look. I think bell bottoms look better.
Bell bottoms definitely accentuate through counterbalance a thicker shape. Those with skinny legs and little or no butt look best to my eye in boot cut. But for general one-style-for-all simplicity, it's hard to beat original straight leg.

I think the most I've ever paid for a pair of jeans is maybe $50, probably less.

It kills me to see a handsome man or well put together woman wear completely goofy trendy clothing. The latest with women is that super wide legged cropped pants. Belongs on a clown.

I haven't seen that particular look yet. I'm imagining something along the lines of pleated slacks that are a few inches too short, is that somewhere in the ball park? Either that, or the butt-ugly and usually too large shorts that mail carriers wear.

Gotcha. The first two examples aren't too bad except that they're several inches too short. Back when I was a young whippersnapper we called that "Being in the floods" or "Wearing floods", and we even had a rhyme for it-
The Flood is gone, the land is dry
Why do you wear your pants so high?
In the last example, not only are the pants an inch or so too long but they're in a pattern more suitable for the uncomfortable antique chairs of a British grandmother's parlor than for an article of clothing.
The second example displays a pet peeve of mine- French manicures on toenails.
First off I think French Manicures in general are one of the biggest scams ever invented because if you get one then you've paid someone good money to paint your nails the exact same way they'd look if they weren't painted at all.
Secondly, French Manicures on toenails make the individual toes and toenails look much bigger than they are, giving many women an unintentional Fred Flintstone look.
Ladies, is this really how you want your feet to look?

....they look pretty good....and fashionable.....but the guy rompers are just wrong.....and the guy tube tops.....
