Almost bought one of those, but discovered it would get in the way of my keyboard (MS Natural 4000), which often sits partially under the iMac. I bought a Sabrent cabled 4-port instead, then had to buy a power supply for it to run a bus-powered drive. Now I need another port or two. . .
Hal: I'll do a video of me trying to get an SD card into the slot in back. That's just as bad, or worse!

No way. He approved the current form factor, with all of the ports on the back.

Form over function. It does make for a beautiful computer. Just a challenge for us users fishing for ports around back.

The back-plane SD card slot is much better then the side slot, which happened to be right below the CD/DVD slot.
Yes. I did put an SD card in my disk slot.

He never did (I bet).
He probably only grudgingly allowed them to put any ports on it because it was pointed out that we are not yet in the 24th century where everything is wireless and/or powered by onboard mini fusion reactors.

And not available for the older "thick" aluminum iMac's.
Not available for all 'thin' iMacs.
Form over function. It does make for a beautiful computer. Just a challenge for us users fishing for ports around back.
It is, but I didn't put my iMac in a cabinet or confine space just for that reason.
I pull it towards me a little, turn it, and boom! Done. Pushing back and all's well.
I have to admit, I can handle the form over function bit easily enough.
The OS tweaks form version to version that relocate common functions almost every time is what chaps my hide.
