Yeah, I rarely manually focus and have much diminished ability to do it.
There is also the Canon 50mm 1.8 STM that can be used for all purposes and blurs background decently.

But still, $269 for an APS-C body and two lenses is a very good price.
I would strongly consider going to a mirrorless for $130 more, with the Canon m50. It's really teeny but yet feels comfortable in my bigger hands, it's lightweight and does a really good job. $399:

Love the idea of the flip out screen and smaller body like the m50 -- but everything doubles in $$. =(
as a "starter" camera... $300 with lenses is nice.

The refurbished version is $20 less with the same warranty.

Different deals come around at different times. If you're patient, the T6i or T7i will probably go on sale before too long.
I've been watching for a long time. The 'i' editions of these cameras are almost always double the cost of this deal.

Just remember that a full frame lens such as the 50mm 1.8 STM shows the field of view equivalent of about 85mm on an aps-c sensor, it has no multiplier on a full frame camera.
