My only famous player picks are from Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum, and Ed Roland of Collective Soul. Tried to get one of Chrissie Hynde's picks once, but another guy grabbed it before I could lunge for it. I did get her copy of the setlist though.

I've had this since the 70's. much too stiff for my use though i did a bit when I was studying jazz guitar.

Yes, very similar. Maybe a tad wider at the grip but like you said very thick. Of course Pat used an .016 for his hi e string back then so his strings could handle it.
