If the local Trader Joes has it, the Five Hills Blue organic merlot is outstanding, and so is the Cabernet Sauvignon.

[quote dmann]I know nothing about wine ...

then later on

[quote dmann]
I am a HUGE fan of Trader Joe's wines and will be thrilled if I can buy everything there. That said, I usually stick with one of their Pinot Grigio offerings and don't branch out too much. I am not a red wine fan so I am really lost there.

Anything in particular you think I should pick up (besides two buck Chuck, which is $3 here)?

DM
dmann, something doesn't make sense here. Do you know or not a thing or two about wine? Cause I got confused. And what about dating, any success lately???

space-time: I know nothing about wine, but I know what I am willing/happy to drink. My limited palate makes it difficult to buy for others. Smile

Let's just say I hope the wine search goes better than the guy search... there has been some disappointment on that front recently. Sad

Another vote for Trader's Joe. With help of a good friend, I am just recently learning how to sip red wine. Still, having a hard time getting used to the bitter taste.

Good luck with your party!

I'll second Rosemount Shiraz - just got it at BevMo for slightly under $7. Before Christmas it was slightly under $6.

We like the Alice White label at Trader Joe's.
