Exactly. Lol
The older I get, the more “practical” I get. Smile

We're right on the snow/rain line. It's been coming down sporadically most of the day. There's about 3 inches of what looks like snow but it's probably 80% slush in the driveway and on the walks. The snowthrower becomes a slushthrower with stuff like this. We all have all-wheel drive vehicles. The main roads are totally clear.

It's about 35 now, going down to upper 20s tonight, topping out at about 30 tomorrow, then up to 40 on Sunday. It will EVENTUALLY melt. But in the meantime it will likely freeze. Trying to decide if it's worth the effort.

So what would you do?

Those whose reply will be "What is this snow you speak of?" need not participate.

I’m in the same boat. There are only a few inches, but it’s saturated. I tried to shovel and got about 20’ before giving up in exhaustion. I'm going to take my chances leaving it. By Sunday it should be kind of improving, I think. Tomorrow might be a mess for me with my 2WD.

The 12" of snow that fell near here on Wednesday was almost gone by Thursday afternoon. And that was with cold temps, too! Of course, the sun angle in So Cal is a little different than it is further north!

Right now I’m sitting in a chair with a heat pad on my back because 2 days ago I shoveled heavy (high water content) snow. I can barely get out of my chair by myself. So make what you want of that.

You have AWD vehicles. Just let them crawl at a walk over the mucky snow until you hit the cleared road.

Just went out there to see what I could do. I could pretty much walk on top of the snow. So I started the car and cleaned it off, with the snow coming off in large sheets. Slightly warmer forecast for tomorrow. As I said, it will melt eventually.

You chose wisely. Smile

Can you hook up a hose to your water heater?
