Maybe I'm reading too many detective novels..... but perhaps some foul play due to her multimillion dollar lawsuit. Someone needs to get started writing the screen play.

Wikipedia's article on Smith (as of 5:23 PM est) now says "The cause of her death was
an over dosage of sleeping pills. She had taken an entire bottle of 800mg sleeping
