There are now some very clear parallels between the 1930s and what will soon be its one-hundredth anniversary…

World Emperor wannabe Musk, on the high from his successful takeover of the USA, has been sticking his non functional weenie into politics in Germany and the UK, supporting Neo Nazi organizations like some sort of 1960’s comic book villain.

Stay vigilant. The Fourth Reich is rapidly taking over the world

People need to wake up. The world's richest man keeps getting richer and richer and more powerful.
OK I'm awake. Now what.

Wake up your friends and neighbors. Your family too. When we're all awake, maybe we can do something.

Get folk registered and make sure they show up.

Germans are going to the polls to vote for a new federal government after the three-party coalition fell apart at the end of last year, prompting a snap election

This is why we ought to have a parliamentary government, like most of the rest of the world.

One, there wouldn’t be a two-party stranglehold. Two, there would be some deal-making (and moderation) as coalitions are formed to govern, with leverage of said coalition members if they don’t like the way the PM and his government is handling things.

Finally, you don’t have to wait 4 years to vote someone out. Impeachment is dead (if it ever was viable) in the US, so Mr. 49% can now rule as a king for 4 years without recourse.

I think it's easier to just work with what exists and don't shoot yourself in the foot, by acting like other things are more important than the main thing. Which is winning.

This shouldn't have surprised anyone. Even Sweden has elected more conservative politicians over the last few years.

I done a fair amount of business with Germans over the last few years. They definitely became more conservative and less tolerant.

The Dutch are also becoming more conservative.

More racist. That's the core of it.

Also Denmark, which is forcing people from Muslim nations who've been in the country for decades out of their homes. Hoping they will "assimilate" better into Danish culture in their neighborhood community is broken apart. No evidence this works, just a way of harassing people.

UK has gotten more anti-immigrant over past 20 years or so.

We used to be the shining beacon of hope to strivers from around the globe. Arms and hearts open. Knowing we'd be better for their contributions.
Not anymore. We've drifted down hate alley.
