Isn't a submarine or U boat open to the public?

Re: Baltimore area - Mac-A-Matic - 09-14-2007

Lot of good suggestions.

I went to the Cryptologic Museum years ago and found infinitely fascinating.

If you do take the Light Rail into the city, I find the food at Harborplace to be just plain tourist crap. If you want a nice taste of Baltimore, take the Camden Yards stop and cross over Howard Street/95 ramp and walk down Conrad (?) to Light Street. Turn right on Light and walk the six-eight blocks or so to the Cross Street Market. Lots of interesting food stalls inside and along the way and a much better taste of Baltimore without going too far away.

Lots of Baltimore people. Towson here!

Dakota, the submarine is the USS Torsk, and it's moored at Pier Five over by the aquarium. It's WWII vintage and not recommended for claustrophobes, but very interesting. I think it is open at the moment; it had been closed for refurbishing.
