Well, this doesn't have anything to do with thongs, and it will probably make everyone flame me, but:
If you want a phone that can do things that the iPhone can not do, then don't buy an iPhone. I think the idea that it is Steve Jobs' fault for creating something that is irresistible to hackers and therefore he is obligated to make the iPhone accommodate them is absurd.
I don't know of any group of people with a larger sense of entitlement than Apple customers. The iPhone is what it is, and if you don't like what it is, then I guess you don't want an iPhone. If you must have one, because you want your friends to envy you and strangers to look up to you, then buy another phone to use and just whip the iPhone out when you need your ego massaged.
