The only way to enjoy that much snow is on a steep mountain.
Not true. NYC is beautiful while a big blizzard is going on. Quiet. The only aspect of it that I don't like is that pools of filthy water accumulate at corners or along curbs after a day or so, with their true depth concealed by the surrounding slush and snow.
