Is that a portable CD player? And the adapter fits into the headphone jack of the portable CD player?

If you don't mind unplugging the CD player and plugging the laptop in, you might be able to get some life out of it by getting a 1/8" female to 1/8" male extension cord

Sorry for the confusion... I did mean the 5-Pin DIN.
I know what the other one is.. it's a 3.5mm headphone jack...

Getting from one to the other is the problem!

I might well do that as a short term fix...
But that CD player and the mount it's on is a bulky piece of kit and I'd like to get an adapter that can stay with the Amp/speaker (which moves around more than the CD player on a portable stand).
