Intel's got newer, faster Xeon CPUs to go into the Mac Pros now, so it's up to Apple to get the rest of the pieces together and release something. Either they are missing something important, or they're concerned about the product release getting lost in the holiday shuffle and are holding back for MacWorld.
I too like the current form factor. A bit heavy to carry around, but the internal expansion is quick and easy. I just want some faster CPUs and some faster video cards, really.
And when is Apple going to release some new displays already?
