Rode that one, or a predecessor, to school myself. When the tires wore out, I wrapped friction tape around tire and rim to keep the tube in. Things like bike tires were a little scarce right after WW II. Actually, looking at it closer - mine had fatter tires and a horn in the tank.

I went through 2 Big Wheels. Tore the plastic "tread" off the front wheel of both, and off of that rear that had the hand brake that let you spinout.

I had an Orange Krate. Racked little jim and the twins on the shifter a number of times goind end-over when the front brakes locked up in panic stops.

I had one of these when I was about 5. It's an X-15 Vroom by Mattel. I'll never forget it.
It stirred from the rear with a stick and it would lean inside on the turns.

Me too. The Big Wheel was the best. Rode the hell out of those. My neighbor had a Green Machine and thought he was hot stuff, but I knew the Big Wheel ruled.
Then I got a Huffy and all was right again in the world.

The Converto-O bike is cool! I like that it converts from a three wheeler to a two wheeler with minimal fuss.
Also like the fact that it's made to last. More products should be designed with durability in mind.

I would have just parked it behind the car..... and they'd have crushed it and wedged it under the rear bumper like all the others.

Mine did too. Horn and fat tires this must be newer. Mine was black with chrome I think. Big sheet metal rack. Spring of sort on front. Some had dual springs. My older 'friends" took it down to practically just frame to make it faster. Father did not approve. Sitting hurt for a couple days.
