In all seriousness,
I asked my Mom (who is Chinese) if she could translate.
The top sign says (in pinyin) te4 bi3
The bottom sign says si1tu3pai4
Doesn't seem to mean anything. As TiUser wrote, perhaps it is a sound for sound translation of a non-Chinese word? The bottom sign could mean "SiTu party" -- party as in a political party named "Si Tu".
Anyway, I'm like Wailer -- most of the Chinese I understand is shouted and contains phrases like "why aren't you like your cousin Eugene who got into Harvard?"
Hope this helps... what is the significance of the signs anyway?

Binky, thanks for asking your mom. It makes sense, if I read from right to left (which I assume it's how Chinese is supposed to be read?)
TiUser, thanks a lot. We guessed what the first line is, but we were not so sure about the second line, the person that wrote it did not fully understand what we said. But your interpretation of "patace" is kind of close to what we asked for.

Right to left? Why? I always thought this was unique to Arabic. I read Korean, and it's read left to right, just like English. However, sometimes Korean is read top to bottom, as in newspapers, menus written on the walls of restaurants, and on the front of buses, etc. - for saving space.

Hebrew is right to left. It is really weird when I go to temple with my wife. The books are all "backwards".

Maybe we have the same cousin...the one that bothered me was, 'you got a 95...that last 5 points was so easy, how could you not have gotten it right?' Now that the shoe is on the other foot, I do the same to my kids.
'You knew that last thing---why didn't you write it? You could have gotten a 100, instead of that 98.' It's a cultural thing, I am sure... ;-)

I am not Chinese but "Eugene" must have been a cousin of mine also ... at least according to my mom!

"Peter Pituse" is the phonetic translation. Wife says it is someone's name trasnlated phonetically into Chinese.
