I have - goosegunner - 02-29-2008 Our neighbor had a dead cat in his tree for a least 6 months. My daughter noticed it while riding home on the school bus. The cat had been chased up the tree by his dog. It was about 35' up in a aspen tree. It fell some how and got jammed in the fork of 2 smaller branches. It was winter and I think it must have freeze dried because it was their for a least 6 months. gg Re: I have - BigGuynRusty - 02-29-2008 [quote goosegunner]Our neighbor had a dead cat in his tree for a least 6 months. The cat will eventually get hungry, thirsty, or bored and will eventually come down on its own. BGnR I found a cat in a tree that had become wedged in a fork in the trunk and died there. People do "dumb" things because (at least some) people, when they see something is wrong, try to set it right. That's why we see people trying to save stuck puppies from drain pipes, and children from abusive homes. It's the same sense of the right thing to do that causes this country to send aid to disaster zones all over the world. Sometimes accidents happen though, and that is unfortunate. Re: I have - goosegunner - 02-29-2008 gg You shoulda called the Guinness Book of World Records. Or at least took pictures. BGnR Yeah I should have taken some pictures. The tree had died so it stayed in view the whole time. It was a black cat and as time went on its hair gradually bleached from the sun. It ended up kind of chocolate brown. gg Re: I have never seen a Cat Skeleton in a tree! - Numo - 02-29-2008 I think it was one of the Police Story movies where two officers respond to a call about a cat stuck in a tree. They tell the distraught owner not to worry - they'll get the cat down. Then one of the officers takes out his gun and shoots it. Re: I have never seen a Cat Skeleton in a tree! - Racer X - 03-01-2008 did you mean Police Academy? I can see the short gun nut doing that. |
