I hope you guys don't jinx me. I've had Aetna for years and never had a problem getting coverage. I'm not exactly cheap to maintain, either, because I have an autoimmune system disorder.

our coverage was administered through Aetna years ago, and after several months of denying my doctors' request for approval of my first reconstructive back surgery, the surgeon scheduled and performed the surgery, taking full responsibility himself. 2 days AFTER the surgery, the approval was finally signed. thank goodness there are people that actually do the right thing in the face of adversity. profits before patients is a real problem.

Yes! The whole prep process certainly made the idea of the actual colonoscopy less negative.

I guess Aetna can save some bux by having doctors administer rufies before
colonoscopies instead of some expensive big pharma product.

A hint for minimizing the bowel prep distastefulness. Use a folding soda straw to drink the liquid. Place it as far back in your mouth as possible (folded about 45 degrees downhill, i.e. ~135 degrees from straight). That way most of the liquid will get past your tastebuds before you swallow.
