For many of us, it had nothing to do with derision. It was obvious from some of his last threads that something was wrong. He wasn't making any sense. I had truly hoped someone would be able to find him some help before it was too late.
May I ask what happened?

This is very sad news. Minty and I had a few brief exchanges via PM in the past and he was a very nice man. I enjoyed his company here on the forum and I feel heartsick about this. I too hope Minty has found peace.

Oh, dammit.
I think he once made a joke about sending him my phone number so he could get me in trouble...I was posting during a conference at work or some such.
So I sent him my cell phone number, but he didn't call. :-(

i liked 'mint
he was conservative but not afraid to ruffle feathers with his
straight forward talk...
its sad and hopefully his passing will teach and allow us to tolerate
different political viewpoints without having to go for the jugular
if your opinion differs...
a sad day indeed.
