Have you no shame? How would you feel if the press went after your kids?

One more.

I can't seem to find it on one of their pages for Bristol.

I agree with you.

However, Sarah Palin seems to think it's delightfully funny when a candidates kids are dragged in:

(all you need is in the first 10 seconds).

Kids may not be that different, but the world is. Their misbehavior is now fully documented for the whole world to see, and whatever they say or do is immediately disseminated worldwide, and permanently preserved for posterity. It's a different world.

They will learn, the hard way.

Re: Bristol Palin, teen drinker - decocritter - 09-03-2008

Looks like Biden's kid has received his ability to be obnoxious and get all up in people's faces, this time the cops.

But is it his fault?

The whole thread is irrelevant, forget what type of bars.

One would hope so -- the problem is that, because of the permanence of the 'net, whatever mistake(s) they make are pretty much with them for the rest of their lives. That's a pretty horrible consequence for what might have been one silly mistake.

[quote PeterB][quote billb]If I wanted to be mean I would have written what kind of bars.

Kids today really aren't that much different than thirty years ago.
Parents are a bit more affluent ,maybe.
They certainly have a higher bar for that 'one-upmanship' that all kids seem to need to top.
How exactly is what kind of bar relevant? (I know what kind of bar it was-- just don't see how that has any sort of relevance) It's not relevant, That's why I didn't mention it.
That's hard ?

But you DID mention it-- even in not mentioning it. Therefore you must have thought that it had some relevance. I think it has none.

Re: Bristol Palin, teen drinker - decocritter - 09-03-2008

Now Peter, that mentioning angle could be applied to Obama's mentioning children were off limits...why even speak of children at all, why not ignore the whole thing? He has plainly ignored Biden's adult children and their issues. His own kids are too little to have done anything, yet.

Re: Bristol Palin, teen drinker - Filliam H. Muffman - 09-03-2008

This thread is not about any Bidens. It is about lack of parental oversight of a minor child still living with a parent. What I have read of the family bio, Todd Palin sounds like he was/is away from home a lot being an oil field employee.

Palin seems to have allowed her kids in the spotlight.
