See's has small kiosks in at Christmas in larger malls in the Georgia and Tenn areas, at least. I grew up with See's in California and was very pleased to see them appear out here. I scored a couple of small boxes for Christmas and just went to eat one!

I think See's started in Southern California. My first memory of them is from the mid 1950s. My dad's oldest sister lived in Alhambra, and we drove down there to visit her about 1956. My mother went to See's and bought several boxes of candy to bring back up here to Washington. Of course, this was in the days long before most people had AC in their cars. What I remember most was how horrible that candy looked by the time it had such a long, hot ride.
I'm pretty sure we ate it anyway!

See's is SoCal based - headquartered in Culver City. They've been around as long as I can remember. Very good candy.

I know that, which is why I remember that we ate the horrible looking, whitish, misshapen things.
My mother worked for Brown and Haley (Mountain Bars, Almond Roca) for over 40 years. As loyal as she was to their products, she would never have wasted a piece of See's candy! I wouldn't, either.

There is a kiosk at Towson Town Center but I won't go there during the holiday season even for See's. Nuh-uh, not me. Never. Scary place.

No See's around MI that I'm aware of. Wished I had heard of them sooner. I ordered a tower mix for my SIL for her Christmas present from Fannie May and thought they were a bit expensive. See's appears to be more reasonable.

For those who are unfamiliar, See's is like a version of Whitman's or Russell Stover's, except made with good ingredients. Except for the truffles, I'm not really into the soft-center pieces, but they make a variety of other candies, too. My favorite are the Molasses Chips.
Their shops allow you to pick and choose which flavors you like, instead of the pre-packed boxes that are usually given as gifts. And they customarily give you a free sample with each purchase.
They do a great job with holiday-themed specials, including a pretty-real looking chocolate potato for St. Pat's day.
