Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - swampy - 02-20-2009 Doerr - Will push the green agenda and all the global warming nonsense Oh, gawd, Jeffery Immelt! Who ran GE into the ground? Monica Lozano - Publisher of a liberal rag that is barely hanging on. Jim Owens - I like, and when Obama announced that CAT was going to be able to rehire layed offed workers, Owens soundly corrected that and said more would probably lose their jobs before they could start rehiring. Lozano - a bone thrown to the Latinos Charles E. Phillips - Don't know much about him except that he served in the military so good for him. David F. Swensen - Another investment banker. Who's pay check does he sign? Laura D'Andrea Tyson - Lots of nice director positions, but she's a liberal economic academician. Robert Wolf - Another investment Banker (whoopee). Can't wait till he brings Enron back online and pays off all the investors. Penny Pritzker - A Chicago cronie who drove Superior Bank into the ground leaving 1,400 customers without part of their savings. Come on, $tevie, just the kind of people we need advising the President, more Chicago cronies, crooks, academics, and rich heiresses. Nice cut and past job though. Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - NeverMind - 02-20-2009 Yeah, those academics really are trouble. What the hell do they know. Let's put cowboys in charge! Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - Dennis S - 02-20-2009 You are a loon, swampy. Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - Silencio - 02-20-2009 The market is shorting the depressing unemployment figures. Christ. As if one or two days of stock market returns prove ANY long term trend. People are being deliberately dense to feebly attempt to prove a partisan point. Then again, the naysayers here were all in favor of the Fox-Guarding-The-Chicken-Coop mentality of the previous administration's advisors. Energy policy by Enron and Halliburton! Face it, your ideas are literally bankrupt and the American people voted for a different approach where academia and other voices will be considered alongside that of the CEO class. Four months is looking pretty trendy to me. CEO class? Investment Bankers, lawyers, CEOs, academics and politicians got us into this mess. The CEO of Catapiller is about the only _businessman_ on that list that deals with union issues, health insurance and other employee compensation issues, capital improvements, expansion, hiring and firing, and all the other stuff that goes with actually running a business. Hands on. Pragmatic. Realistic. Day-to-day operations. But now the market doesn't mean anything. Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - swampy - 02-21-2009 They don't connect the dots very well do they, Dakota? Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - Dennis S - 02-21-2009 You had 8 years to connect the dots and never did. Re: The market is shorting Obama's stimulus - swampy - 02-21-2009 Yep, and now it's your turn, Dennis and you're not off to a very good start for someone who thinks they are so smart. |
