If you wear contacts, just use saline solution. It solves all salt-related problems.

Found the sea salt at the grocery store, I'm set. I'll report back tomorrow as to how well it works with the neti pot.

A cheap squirt bottle (like a plastic ketchup bottle) with a decent nozzle works ok, but a neti pot is much easier to use.

Yeah, as Rusty pointed out, just get the kosher salt at the supermarket. You can get it in the traditional pouring tub thingy. You probably don't want to bother with the real course stuff.
Remember when using substituting salts in the kitchen that the size and shape of the grains will change how well they fit in your measuring spoon. If a recipe called for 1 tsp coarse kosher salt, and you used iodized salt, you'll be getting much more salt.

Thanks for mentioning that Mike!
Since I use Kosher salt exclusively, I always forget that it is "fluffy"!
That would be a real salty surprise.

Wouldn't Kosher Salt or Aquarium salt sold in Pet shops work just a well?
