Re: Is there a PC equivalent of Migration Assistant? - olnacl - 03-24-2006 I bit for the alohabob. I'll report back if anyone wants a first hand experience - I have a machine that I replaced the HDD in just a couple days ago. I installed W2K and was about to reinstall all the apps from original CDs - I'll use PC Relocator and we'll see if it flies. Re: Is there a PC equivalent of Migration Assistant? - JEBB - 03-24-2006 For replacing a laptop hard drive I cloned the old one using Acronis True Image. I would recommend that product. But for replacing a computer, I don't think it is the right product. By the way, for cloning a drive, even Acronis is not nearly as easy or as straight forward as Apple's Disk Utility restore. olnacl: Be sure to let us know how well alohabob works for you. |
