Safari 4.02 has been mostly stable for me, with the exception of a guaranteed quit when typing into the comments or message text fields. Crashes almost every time. No such problems I've noticed on other sites.

Anyone else seeing this?

Yes. Same here. Only started with version 4 Safari. Good to know it's not common with everyone. I don't have any InputManagers except 1Password either. I'm thinking it may be Spell Catcher. Still checking.

I had the same problem. I reinstalled to no avail. An update finally fixed it. Until then I copied and pasted into the text boxes.

Docs solution would have saved me much frustration (as did his solution to my Boot Camp Windows install problems, thanks Doc.)

I did the same. Did a fresh install. Safari is more stable. Still more crashy than 3 ever was.

That doesn't work for me- I get the same problem when I paste text into the box.

I quit Safari, went to Camino. Camino is a lot faster and I'm a lot happier.

PS: I still use Safari 3 for specific tasks, Decay led me to a site that allows you to run both Safari 3 & 4 side by side.
