What I don't like is that he cannot see the human side of this that people can talk it out and get this done. At the end of the day, 2 Americans are safe yet he has to throw his opinion out there to grab some attention. He was either not smart enough or too stubborn to realize that there are multiple ways to accomplish a goal. No wonder he was chosen by Bush; he fits in with the "my way or the highway" mentality that pervaded the last administration. His premise was that we are setting a precedent by talking to countries that he basically blew off. His form of diplomacy worked, right? I mean, he wants to nuke Chicago; is that not terrorism? Show me one time that he was correct in his rationale and I will be mum. Though I must admit he wasn't half bad on his third appearance on The Daily Show recently. He had a vary good, high-level, more-light-than-heat conversation... with a comedian. But let's face it: the world is a much more dangerous place after eight years of Bush/Cheney/Bolton foreign policy. Promises of negotiations with Iran has blown in Obama's face. He is no closer to resolving the issues than Bush was and has no clue where to go from here. I know we all expect a lot more from Obama but comparing his six months to Bush's 8 years isn't really fair. Re: John Bolton speaks ... anyone care? - Mac1337 - 08-06-2009 Time is not his problem. There is nothing being worked on that needs time. We are as far apart as ever. Axis of evil sounds pretty charitable after all the skull busting they did in the streets. You tell me. What is his roadmap with regards to Iran or NK that needs time? Matter of fact, he hardly ever talks about foreign policy. He is completely igroing Afghanistan, as if doesn't exist. His heart isn't in it. That much is clear. Re: John Bolton speaks ... anyone care? - davester - 08-06-2009 What is it with right wing blowhards who have some sort of need to broadcast all sorts of unsupported fact-free opinions. Without facts to back up arguments nobody gives a rat's ass about what the blowhards spew (except other blowhards looking for material). Re: John Bolton speaks ... anyone care? - Dennis S - 08-06-2009 Bolton is a bigger prick than Kim Jong Il, it turns out. Bolton wants them locked up and Kim Jong Il doesn't.
