Re: Free Stuff Monday thread - November - mattkime - 11-02-2009

claimed some power adapters.

both wiebe cases and BetaSP tapes claimed (pending payment of shipping costs).

Several things to give away (taker pays actual shipping using either UPS or USPS, whatever speed you choose):

-Wiebe Tech 4 bay SATA/eSATA metal drive enclosure. Used to work well, but then the bridge board started flaking out, and I couldn't get it to reliably work. Still in great shape structurally and still powers on just fine. Might be able to salvage this if you can find a way to either replace the bridgeboard or find some other use for it. Power cord included if you want it. No data cables included.

-Wiebe Tech ToughTechXE FW/USB/eSATA single sata drive enclosure. Bridge board on this one went out as well. Would have cost about $70 to fix, decided we'd rather purchase a new enclosure. Again, if you can figure out a way to replace the bridgeboard, it might work again. I may not have a power supply for this one... No data cables included.

-Fantom FW drive metal enclosure (IDE internal). Bridge board bad or power supply, not sure. Will include power supply, no data cables included.

-Half dozen Sony BetaCam SP 30 tapes. brand new never used.

-40-50 VHS blanks (about 40 are 30min tapes). All are brand new and never used.

Again, these are free, but I'll need to ask that the taker(s) pay for actual shipping costs. PM if interested.

free (0.00 sh) : Getting Started owners manual for 17" G4 powerbook.
-I do not now, nor have I ever owned said powerbook (why Do I have this?).

Re: Free Stuff Monday thread - November - Buzz - 11-02-2009

have similar Fantom FW/USB metal enclosure (IDE/PATA internal) to clay's, that pretty sure FW part of bridge board is flakey... power supply seems OK, as drive powers, and lights light, and USB worked well enough to see drive when tested last (FW did not), but did not transfer any data via USB; only checked for connectivity. Case & power supply for shipping only. PM as desired.

EDIT: Claimed!

I have a laserwriter 16/600 with AAUI. For the NYC area only...I don't have time to ship. Just ask HarbourMaster how long it took me to send the Pismo.

But it was worth the wait!

I guess I have an old Laserwriter II NT, pre f/g logic board (no ethernet/serial only)

FREE for eastern PA area pickup.

Re: Free Stuff Monday thread - November - mikebw - 11-02-2009

Oh yeah, if we're really getting down to it I also have a PowerBook 520. Grayscale, no batteries, works with included power adapter. Used it as a router for my DSL line for a couple years.

Another item to add for the cost of shipping:
ADS Pyro Firewire 400 5.25" (fits 3.5" drives too) enclosure. I think it's this one:

The FW bridge is bad or flaky.
