Lunch time - my junior year in high school. I remember a bunch of us went to the library and just watched the replay over and over. Sad day.
I celebrated it today by having a colonoscopy!! Yeah - no problems to report

11th grade US History, Mrs. Stinson's class. She slumped against the door frame and said, "The space shuttle blew up."
That classroom was destroyed along with the rest of my high school by a tornado a couple of years ago (yes, THAT high school)...

Yes..I was at a depth of 58 feet (periscope depth) sitting off the f***ing coast of Libya with a flash traffic message blank ready to fill out if we had to sink any of the bozo's. We spent 158 days there (12/85 - 05/86). As usual, submarine participation is never talked about in history book...(see below):cartman:

Working in a Machine Shop in High Point, NC. Someone in the office came out and told us about it.

I had that same thought.
I was working 2nd shift, and didn't hear about it until I got to work that afternoon. No real details until I got home later that night.
