Not directed to you necessarily, but I've never understood the advantage of a deep-cycle battery for a car—isn't that what the Optima batteries are? Is it for a car that's seldom used? Has a really big sound system? (See? I just guessing.)

No, it is not a Yellow Top Optima Battery, they are very distinctive in appearance, they all have those round cell look because they are all Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) batteries, and the mat is rolled, they don't have plates that warp and short out.

I got a T-34 Optima battery for $135 about a month ago, I too wanted one for a long time. The yellow tops are a dual purpose battery, not as many amp-hours as a true deep cycle battery but about three times as many as as a normal starting battery. I use my van for camping, and sometimes run several accessories including laptop, cameras, iPod, and GPS.
