Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - RAMd®d - 03-04-2010 What Ken said. In fact, I've read that Snow will upgrade a Tiger install. I can't find my Tiger disk to upgrade a Panther Install, and it's more than Leopard online. Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - lipskidder - 03-04-2010 so if i erase my external drive for a clean install, i can install SL directly? No trying to load anything to it first? Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - lipskidder - 03-04-2010 I found my Tiger discs in my computer bag just now - the ones that came with my MBP. Strange, why would I keep them there?? Still missing the Leopard ones though. Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - M A V I C - 03-04-2010 lipskidder wrote: Yes. SL is only an upgrade by license. The disc itself can do a full install, but legally you can only install SL if you own a Leopard license. Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - Bread Crumbs - 03-04-2010 Snow will upgrade or do a full install. Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - Bread Crumbs - 03-04-2010 Just pop the snow disk in and run it. See what happens, Have faith. You do not have to justify it to us. It is technically possible, simple, and preferred in my mind. Just do it. It installed full Snow Leopard on a blank drive with no existing OS to upgrade. Re: I can't find my install DVD for Leopard - MikeF - 03-04-2010 You only know you'll buy it and then 10 minutes later find the discs... (At least that's what usually happens to me...) |
