I'm back in the room with Jesse, we made Mom go home to try and get
some sleep. She's about 45 minutes away and my son just told me she's
been asleep for almost hours. We've both only had about 2-3 hours sleep
since Sat. morning. Please keep keep him in your thoughts and prayers
he's had to struggle physically with everything he's ever done since birth and
he's one young man that needs a miracle right now. Smart as whip, he's
working part time at the college IT dept this summer and only has one
more year of college to go and this had to come up and beat him in the butt.
He even sorta has a girl friend that knows his limitations and is fine
with them. He's my little "Magoo", a nickname he got stuck with many
years ago, I'm not sure I could deal with losing him.

It's a smart move to send her home to sleep. Hope you can get some too. You haven't lost him. Get some sleep and we'll hold the fort for you with hope and prayers.

A simply incredible thread.
Grateful, I'll hug my boy just as soon as I hit the "post" button. I'm sure others have done the same with their children.
I can't think of a handle that is better for this situation than "Grateful." I know that's what I was thinking as I thanked God for the six years he's given me with my son.
We all pray that Jesse comes out of this and is fully recovered. We're all sorry for your hurt and frustration.
That said, thank you for your courage in dealing with something that no parent is prepared for.
Thanks also for reminding us what this wonderful thing called the Internet is really for — to connect us.
May the rich and full blessings of God shower you and your family.

I'm a firm believer in knowing what is happening so I ask to read my child's chart when she is hospitalized. I highly recommend it. Along with prayers.
