Thanks for the additional input on the Phorm software. Lots of great new features
and many have commented that it feels a lot snappier.
I'm sure admin Jim will appreciate the additional info when he gets back in on Monday.

Er, just realized the "reply via PM" is gone globally.
Handy little doohickey, it was.
Was that by design? Can't believe I just noticed it-- could swearit was there afterthe upgrade.

Easy? Yes. However, I need a magnifying glass to see that little thing! It's very, very teensy, and I'm not even one of those who has been complaining about font size!
Oh, and I took another trip back through time today. Accidentally, of course, when I wanted to move to page two. I certainly hope our long-suffering and very, very sweet, talented, and exceptionally nice Mr. mrp-admin can do something about that.

Sunday Night Note
Thanks to all that continue to give input and patiently await results
Anyone that has been following along at home knows that out site admin Jim has been working very hard on this upgrade.
I sent him a few priority "fixes" tonight and would like to give him a little time to catch up a bit.
In a few days we will start a new thread that hopefully allow him to make final adjustments
so he can get back to the work that pays the bills that allow us to enjoy this little corner of the net.
Hang in there with us - it's improving all the time. There are still a few kinks but at least we have been
given a chance to have our voices heard. Thanks to all that have contributed.

This means they are using the new, more advanced search functions. That is good as they are much faster. Unfortunately it means they don't have their MySQL server configured to index words less than 4 characters. So, you will not be able to search for any terms 3 characters or less. This is a configuration issue on the server and can be fixed however. All my servers are set to 2 characters or more for indexing.

Please change this if the above is true.
It was very useful for me to search on "lux" and see threads where people replied to me just as "lux" and not my full nick.
Also, I preferred the old default of only displaying results from the forum where the search was initiated (i.e. "tips & Deals" vs "Rubber Room" )
Ugh: And a option on a per-post basis to disable smilies (the GB ) vs GB) problem)!
