Re: aaaggghh!! Almost, almost found a house tonight - ho'ard - 05-09-2006 I'm going to dissent. You know exactly what you want and that is a huge strength. Do not compromise. Do get a little quicker with vieweing these properties when they come on the market. Your realtor should inform you the day a candidate is listed, and you should view it exteriorly withing a day afterwards. The right place at the right price is out there, but it doesn't last 5 days on the market. Re: aaaggghh!! Almost, almost found a house tonight - wowzer - 05-09-2006 If the deal falls through, do I get a mini? ;-) Home is where the heart is. Re: aaaggghh!! Almost, almost found a house tonight - M>B> - 05-09-2006 A house is just an envelope, it becomes a home after you move all of your stuff into it and start making it your own! Re: aaaggghh!! Almost, almost found a house tonight - davemchine - 05-09-2006 We are signed up for a service that gives us access to mls listings 24hrs after they go online. In addition to that we get automated emails directly from the mls as soon as houses that match our criteria are listed. Very slick stuff and it has been alot of fun from that perspective. I made a deal with my wife. This house is a compromise for me but she really likes it. So I agreed to make the offer if she she would agree to limit the updates to carpet, paint and new faucets. The plan is to turn the house in 5-6 years and get what I would like to have, no compromises. So, to that end the papers for the offer were filled out tonight and I assume we will get a counter offer in the next few days. Watch for my post regarding garage doors openers.. dave Re: aaaggghh!!
