You must be lying! EVERYBODY knows American cars commit suicide at the end of warranty plus 5 miles! Especially Fords! All my Fords have done well, even my Mid 80s Mustang that I beat the shit out of for 10 years!
I had a '97 Ford truck that was in the shop so much that they had to buy it back. I used to get a big Ford
discount because of my job and tried stick with them but got tired of multiple problems. Between '91
and '02 we had 7 Fords including the Explorer. Let's put this way the '91 is the only one we still have.

My VW manual says oil every 5k (Premium synthetic required) and transmission fluid and filter every 40k. My wifes BMW was oil between 7500 and 15000 miles, the onboard computer will let you know based on driving habits.
