Re: hard drive went down...any way to retrieve data on it? - wowzer - 03-10-2012 thermaltake blacX It was cheap, but really handy today. Re: hard drive went down...any way to retrieve data on it? - wowzer - 03-10-2012 Damn...the drive clicked and clacked for about 1 minute, then it seemed to have died completely. A partial scan was done with data rescue, but the app informed me that the drive just disconnected itself. Ugh. Re: hard drive went down...any way to retrieve data on it? - space-time - 03-10-2012 High Definition Freezer? Re: hard drive went down...any way to retrieve data on it? - wowzer - 03-10-2012 High def, low def...I'll take it at 30 fps/60fps/but I'd like to have the data. The drive was hot and clicking horribly. Re: hard drive went down...any way to retrieve data on it? - Ken Sp. - 03-10-2012 After many hours in the freezer make sure you have a small fan to blow cool air across the drive when you try to copy data. Some sort of heat sink might also help.
