Cant't say what to do in Rich's dilemma, but as far as eBay int'l shipping, they are now starting a service you can sign up for that uses a 3rd party shipper/customs/paperwork wrangler, paid for by the buyer. You ship the sold item the middleman's US address, and they do the rest.
Sounds interesting, but remember this is eBay, so something about it is bound to stink.
