By "speed downshifting" you mean without the clutch? Before synchros I assumed you'd be double-clutching.

Interesting stuff.

I've taught my daughter and son and recently my grandson to drive. I've had at least 5 accidents in my driving experience; they've cumulatively had none.

Lesson is I teach better than I drive. (those who can do; those who can't teach ) ask Pops.
