Have to quote this classic from the Rolling Stone list's comments,
"...didnt include The Kinks - Father Christmas or even Elvis - Blue Chistmas? But you included Kokface West??? I don't know who he is but I know he's not Raock N Roll and that he sucks."

In the interests of holiday cheer and world peace, I petition for the below quote to be made a sticky through at least the end of the year:

Thanks for that. I'm feeling a little less Grinchy. Of course, childhood memories tend to put a unreal sheen on things... then there is Now. This is the version that I caught:

There is this one little commercial from when I was growing up- it was my first introduction to the "Carol Of the Bells". I had yet to know the horror of Andre champagne:

Once the horror set in, and a couple of years later, I went to a concert and heard these bells:

Now is the Solstice of the year...

I love that track even though I have forgotten about it. I wish this one would have had the staying power of some other holiday tunes. Now that you have re-introduced me to this song, I will have to add this to my holiday playlist.

Joni Mitchell's "River" is a great song. Everybody has sung it. Robert Downey Jr., does a killer version of it. My favorite is Sarah McLachlan's version.

Well, that was... interesting... (Was that Frank Zappa behind the camera?)
I still have a little thing for Martha Quinn...

Being late to the party means that the party poopers have pooped out. Welcome!

Bottom line, regardless of how good any of these suggestions might be, if most people have never heard them, they could never become a "classic."
