On my D600, I've been thinking of shooting with less MP in JPG. The camera is so good that I rarely have to do anything other than pull some detail in post,but the file sizes are big.

The Mac is going to duplicate functionality you already have. I assume the lens will give you functionality you don't currently have, so I vote lens.

If you want to shoot and edit 4k videos, the iMac is just what you need. Besides which, it's shiny and new and has a gorgeous screen!
