I can't count how many times my wife has walked in with "I've got a project for you," interrupting whatever it was I was doing. "Now?" I ask. "Well, not necessarily. . ." Of course she thinks that the time I spend "on the computer" is utterly frivolous. They expect immediate responses, yet don't feel it's necessary for them to respond immediately. I blame the cell phones and texting... they think that texts are instantaneous and don't understand if someone doesn't respond right away. OTOH, if my 21 year old son doesn't answer my text i am fit to be tied and start to assume to something terrible has happened... SINCE my post in this topic, I got FIVE calls from a guy wanting to know when our range is open this weekend... Since I don't take or return personal calls from work, he just had to wait for a reply. Apparently, five hours drove him insane.
