I was going to say the same thing! You have good taste. :-) Another I'll throw in is Cyndi Lauper, At Last. I never realized what a strong voice she has until I watched this one. Re: Best Concert DVD(s)? - Bubba3K - 09-30-2006 Since others have already mentioned Stop Making Sense, i'll chime in withThe Last Waltz -Bubba Re: Best Concert DVD(s)? - incognegro - 10-02-2006 Home of the Brave by Laurie Anderson. not yet on DVD Re: Best Concert DVD(s)? - $tevie - 10-02-2006 I just saw The Who - Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 this weekend. I certainly can't claim it is The Best Concert DVD, but in spite of the flaws I have read about (songs out of order, some chopped up and so forth) I enjoyed the heck out of it. I got a junior high school crush on Keith Moon, in defiance of my age. Two DVDs I want to see, since I saw the movies when they came out in the seventies, are Mad Dogs and Englishmen with Joe Cocker, and Concert for Bangladesh. I expect they will both feel dated now but I don't think I will care. |
