Re: Help me spend $$ on an M1 Mac Mini system. - jdc - 02-13-2021 Like I said, this is *exactly* what 75% of my clients are doing right now (ever since the M1 mini came out) so familiar. It really depends on your main drive storage needs (and budget, sorta) Most of my clients are frugal. I try to talk them into 27" iMacs... and they ask about minis. =) With less than 2 TB of storage, I go NVMe (or SSD 2.5" SSD not long ago). For clients over, I get them into a RAID 0. 4 TB X300s @ $100 x 2 + case gets you 8TB of space pushing near 350 MB/s. for $250ish. If they have a little extra $$, then a RAID 5. Backup drives...whatever is on sale. Of course, there are different scenarios, depends on what you need/want Re: Help me spend $$ on an M1 Mac Mini system. - freeradical - 02-13-2021 prymsnap wrote: "About this Mac" > "System Report" will tell you this. Will still need to dig into my records to determine when I bought them. ![]() |
