Drug addict lies on federal firearms form to purchase a firearm he can't legally own. Leaves firearm in his vehicle unsecured. Firearm taken by his SIL and thrown away in a public trash can. Fortunately, it was found by someone with a conscience and turned into the authorities. Then Secret Service shows up at the gun store to get the shop's copy of the federal form (Secret Service has no authority in this - it's ATF's responsibility).
And the President pushed for more gun control laws.

This topic has blown up the news.
GOPers are using it as an excuse for Trump Jan 6 treason pardons, which he was going to do anyway.
The politics of this are not even a rain drop compared to the hurricane of nightmares approaching in January.
