They must have gotten a Rheem system.

Just smuggle some in and reverse engineer them. Once we know it can be done, figure out a way to do it. Other countries have built entire economies (and militaries) "leveraging" our advances.

Everything from cost of ownership, range, charging…..ignorance is what’s holding back EVs for many people.

You got half the country simply not believing in climate change. If you don't believe in climate change and all of the factors that exacerbate it, why would you care even 1% about an Electric Car? Why would they purposefully inconvenience themselves?
There are lots of reasons other than climate change to buy an EV. The thing I care about most is air quality, but even without that, I had to go back to an ICE and I couldn’t hardly stand it. Instantly responsive, quick, and very quiet. ICE is so arcane feeling.

Agreed on all your points kj. Interesting thing about air quality that hits close to home....I look forward to being able to close the garage door immediately after I get home and not worry about the car kinda stinking up the place (previously I'd leave it open for an hour). There are so many great intangibles about owning an EV that thinking about going ICE seems a step back.

There are many reasons to support many things that they won't support. THEY are not going to support EV's. The only reason that could possibly be valid for them is fuel cost. They'll have to be forced to accept it.
