The race card is getting so old. I know it's a real handy zinger when you Obamarama people want to hurl and insult, but most on the receiving end are inured to it. It's lost it's meaning in this age of a black POTUS elect unless it is your intent to perpetuate a racial gap. I got over the racial issue long ago, but apparently you Obamarama people haven't since you seem to enjoy vomiting it up at every opportunity.

Ultimately, use of the middle name or a middle initial for a president will depend on how it sounds over time, kind of like how a common nickname for a common name works for some people and not others.
JFK, TDR, FDR, LBJ...nice.
But HST? RMN? JEC? BHO? No ring to it.
William Henry Harrison, Harry S Truman, that middle name was part of their brand.
Nobody cared about the HW in George Bush #1 until #2 came a long and we needed a way to distinguish them.
What was Ronald Reagan's middle name/intitial? I'd have to google it.
Barak Obama is unique in its own right. Were the H to stand for Hussein or Harry, I don't think it will gain much cachet in the long haul. Except by those who oppose him and are using it as a code word for "possible terrorist."

"Hussein," as it was used by folks like Sheriff Mike Scott, was done with intent of labeling. It's hard to evaluate whether it's xenophobia, racism, or just politics, but the name was used as a political label, with outsider connotations.

It seems as if Obama's Presidential "nick" is going to end up being "Barack" and not his initials, but if using his initials his supporters will probably want to avoid using the term "BO". I figure the initial thing is not going to go anywhere, myself, since it is a PITA every time it comes up.
