Re: Good toolbar for Safari? - RAMd®d - 04-10-2010 POMTL, AA! SO MANY of the PCs I've seen have toolbars similar to that. Tons of crap. My best buddy does not love his family. He uses a G4 iMac but bought his wife and girls PC laptops. They keep having problems with browsers and before you can say "Bob's your uncle" the browsers look like your pic. So I tell them to use Safari. And on a related note... - RAMd®d - 04-10-2010 Why do so many PC users open every window to full screen? I see this so often I almost think it universal behavior for the whole PC universe. There are probably people who can navigate this way very quickly and efficiently. I've just never seen any. So you're looking for something like this manly toolbar?: ![]() Funny but don't be ridiculous. I asked a simple question and didn't intend to start a whole rant on the habits of PC users. I want a Google toolbar or Yahoo toolbar. I thought there would be a good one for Safari I was missing. Re: Good toolbar for Safari? - guitarist - 04-10-2010 "Good" and "Toolbar" are mutually exclusive, it would seem. You aren't missing anything. The performance-killing negative side-effects commonly found in third-party add-ons seems an unfair price to pay for the convenience or familiarity you seek trying to replicate a PC-like browsing experience. Safari's native tools and customizations are actually quite good, in the right hands. Re: Good toolbar for Safari? - Seacrest - 04-10-2010 OF COURSE BOTH THE YAHOO AND GOOGLE TOOLBARS ARE AVAILABLE FOR FIREFOX ON THE MAC AS I STATED ABOVE, IF YOU WANT THEM. MAYBE THE OP JUST WANTS TO POKE US IN THE EYE OVER SAFARI'S LACK OF WINDOWS "SOPHISTICATION", AS SHE PERCEIVES IT. Re: Good toolbar for Safari? - Paul F. - 04-10-2010 I'll ask again; What features of a "toolbar" are you looking for? What does a toolbar do for you that you want Safari to do? Some of us would like to help if we knew what the "toolbar" does for you. |
