And Im assuming thats not taking the boat out a few times a year... ![]() ![]() Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - pinkoos - 09-26-2019 Thank you very much to everyone for all the helpful information We did check the manual/online maintenance "minder" and the brake service is actually recommended every 3000 miles So, we've opted to do the oil change, tire rotation and brake service We are foregoing the fuel service We are not getting it done at the dealership but instead a Firestone that is very close to home. We realize that the Firestone may not be much better than the dealership in trying to upsell us on stuff (in fact, they already called my wife to tell her the air and engine filters are completely black), but at some point convenience is worth something to us Thanks again, this has been a very helpful thread Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - mrlynn - 09-26-2019 jdc wrote: Check your manual, not what jiffylube says =). If we were driving more, my guess is the interval would be sooner. To my great surprise, my 2013 Ford Expedition does not have a dipstick for the transmission fluid. We have a small travel trailer, but use it infrequently. /Mr Lynn Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - mrlynn - 09-26-2019 pinkoos: If the filters are 'black', they really should be changed. You can do it yourself. /Mr Lynn Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - pinkoos - 09-26-2019 mrlynn wrote: Yeah, we just went ahead and let Firestone take care of it Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - pinkoos - 09-26-2019 Final cost at Firestone for oil change, tire rotation, brake service, air filter, engine filter $190 Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - pinkoos - 09-27-2019 So my wife said she didn’t get the filters changed after all $190 for oil, tires and brake service Re: Car maintenance question on 2015 Acura MDX - Racer X - 09-28-2019 mrlynn wrote: Check your manual, not what jiffylube says =). VERY easy to do a drain and refill on those. |
