Coons does not need Obama, if you believe the polls. There are close to 75 seats where Dems are in danger. Is this the best use of his time? Would you advise him to go to Delaware? Why did Coons ask him to come over?

Unlike the people living in your house, US Senators have a hand in determining who will serve on the nation's highest court. So yeah they need to know something about recent court decisions. By saying she disagrees with "lots of them" and then being unable to name even one she just looked pitiful.
You and your family don't have to worry about SCOTUS decisions if you don't want to, since you've elected intelligent, well-informed, people to make those decisions on your behalf, right?
