as only a couple of others have said, I have NO idea and I'm amazed that others remember. but, it was probably something good to listen to and it was in the early '90s as I used to have access to lots of music without buying any of it so I was still listening to cassettes until the early to mid-90s. my first CD player, circa 1993 is still in use. great workhorse machine: Technics workhorse

I didn't buy a CD until long after the format came out. There were too many unknowns about whether the format would survive, especially since the early CDs had such bad fidelity, worse than LPs. I still can't remember that first CD, though I remember my first 45...Downtown by Petula Clark.

That wasn't their first CD - that was Brothers in Arms. It set the early standard for what a recording on CD could achieve.
Dire Straits first album was vinyl, and definitely analog, so any CD would have to be AAD.
There were vinyl albums back in the late 70's where the master tape was digital; they were primarily classical recordings on Deutsche Gramophone etc.
I have a vinyl copy of Ry Cooder's "Bop till you Drop". This was the first digitally recorded pop album. It sounds far better than the CD's that followed. Sadly, when CD's became popular, the standard for digitizing music went down. I remember how horrible Stevie Ray Vaughn's album "In Step" sounded. :barf:

I think I got it for about 2 or 3 years. We had a major newsstand in the little town I grew up in and when
I saw issue #1 I had to have it and immediately subscribed. I'll see if I can find issue #1. I wish I had kept
them all. I still have the first 100 issues of MacAddict for some stupid reason.

There's probably someone here who hasn't but it's not me, I've probably got 300-400. When we finally completely
cleaned my in-laws home I got all my MIL's 45's, she probably had 400-500, most are in mint condition.
