Anybody on here who scams someone out of either shipping or the negotiated item cost is a deadbeat and needs to be outed for the safety of other would-be buyers and the continuance of sellers on the forum. That said, the title (and large parts of the meat) of this thread are quite useless for a potential buyer, if something is indeed for sale or barter.
There are reputable people on here who could help you with your surplus supply problem if only we had a better idea what equipment you are looking to unload (year, processor, RAM, general cosmetic and functional condition, etc.) and what you expect for remuneration. I'm in the market for a MacBook Pro or Air, preferably circa 2013 or later, and could arrange for up front payment, if you have something I want.

This morning I opened my front door to see if the morning paper had arrived. I was amazed to see a flock of birds flying in close formation and landing in a tree near me. Turned out to be Cedar Wax Wings, a real treat to see. I was happy that Mavis had just woken up and rushed her to the door to see this beautiful band of birds. We've never seen Cedar Wax Wings so close to us before!
I mention this because I had earlier posted about my current health problems and was feeling pretty down.
I usually don't check this forum, but thinking about the various "old" Mac related stuff I had uncovered in my current Spring Cleaning effort, I thought that I would check in here.
This thread has me flabbergasted! I don't know what to make out of ~Dave's story? Has anyone actually had any dealings with him? Reading this made me think that perhaps this was a scam???
I hate to be cynical about this, but ~Dave's story sounds a bit too good to be true.
On the other hand, if true, what a wonderful opportunity for cash strapped members to upgrade or replace their current computers for just the cost of shipping.
I'll be watching to see if any of this turns out to be "for real" and I would be very happy if it is.

Something tells me the this guy is not only not for real, but not playing with a full deck?
I'd think twice before having anything to do with him.

Really Speedy? I just questioned whether this guy was genuine. I didn't use foul language and simply asked if anyone had ever received anything from him.

In this current thread? 1 Person.
There has only one person who responded on this thread who got items from me (and he asked for more computers via PM); I only ever see a couple of them posting semi-regularly on this board.
Some of these folks go back to dealmac.com and may have changed their screen names when they came here (as I did).
