At the risk of sounding like a rampant defender of this design - I'm not - a lot of the criticisms seen around the Internet seem exaggerated.

Plus, all cars including teslas tell you how close you are to other objects. It’s way easier and accurate than going by feeling.

That isn't what I meant by a flat cap. The cap should be rectangular from front to back without a pronounced angle to make it sloping. This allows transport of taller items on the bed, beneath the cap. The cap with the photo of Musk standing on it is an example of what a cap shouldn't be like on a work vehicle.
That and the visibility is definitely compromised in comparison to other trucks. To me, visibility is key. Even my CX-7 is a compromise but it's superior to CR-Vs and Murano's of similar age and vintage. That's one of the reasons I have it instead of one of them.
Key, you shouldn't have to rely on cameras to mitigate flaws in design. Visibility should be reasonably good _without_ cameras. At best, cameras should just enhance otherwise already good visibility. The Cybertruck, based on the photos, lacks good visibility in several key areas. I hope I'm wrong and it's better than what I see in the pictures. If not, then it's an significant flaw.

Which sheds some light on the real reason most people buy a truck anyway...for its looks. Very few buy one on a rational basis. For example I counted almost 80 pickups while driving to the grocery store the other day (and that's just during the drive there, not back). During that 5 mile / 10 minute drive, not one was towing anything or had something in the bed. They were all late model vehicles.
